Several tools have been incorporated into most of
our projects to make the process and the results of our designs more
predictable.
Preparation of a Project Schedule
and Gantt Chart
At the beginning of all time-sensitive projects we work with our clients to prepare a project schedule. The critical
path and achievable target dates are identified.
Preliminary Pricing Plan
The final space plan and any above standard build-outs are documented.
The preliminary pricing plan is used to prepare a budget estimate prior
to starting construction documents. This estimate serves as a pricing
benchmark, thus avoiding time consuming and expensive revisions to construction documents. Changes
in project scope are made prior to completing construction documents.
CAD Visualization
This visualization tool assists clients in imagining the completed space, the design concept, the selected finishes and lighting. It also transforms 2-dimensional
plans into a 3-D image. CAD visualization also serves as an effective tool to gather design
input and approvals from our clients. Following review of the computer rendering,
any changes to the proposed floor plan can be made.
Regulatory Review
Should any potential code compliance issues arise during the design
process, we will set up meetings with the plan review officials of the
local jurisdiction concerned. A preliminary ruling will provide clear
direction for the construction documents. This can avoid delays in the
permit approval process.
