Comprehensive Needs Analysis:

Determining Your Space Needs

We meet with the client to determine their initial and future space needs. We may complete some or all of the following, in order to meet our client’s needs.

Develop new space and furniture standards to maintain maximum efficiency and minimal expenditure

Prepare a space and furniture standards manual for all end-users' review and adherence.

Prepare documentation for LEED certification
Enhance flexibility and ergonomic considerations
Review client’s business plan to ensure that the strategic objectives are met
Analyze workflow, paper flow, critical adjacencies, filing, storage and support area requirements
Prepare a programming report documenting the tenant’s current space requirements and estimated future space needs
Prepare A&E test fit using the space requirements and data documented in the programming report
Use the programming report to document the most efficient and versatile use of space

The programming report typically includes the following documentation:

  • General goals and requirements of future office space
  • Graphic space and furniture standards diagrams
  • Staffing matrixes for each department or work group
  • Defining support area requirements for individual departments and those to be shared by several departments
  • Bubble diagrams illustrating the workflow and critical adjacencies
  • Square footage summaries
